About This Role

When someone crosses a border to do meaningful work — powering a grid, commissioning a turbine, or supporting a global team — there's a careful process behind that move. You're the person who makes it work. As an Immigration Analyst at GE Vernova, you manage the full lifecycle of complex immigration cases across multiple regions, ensuring our people can get where they need to be — compliantly, efficiently, and with confidence.

This is a senior individual contributor role with real influence. You'll shape immigration strategy, mentor junior team members, and serve as the primary point of contact for employees, internal stakeholders, and external counsel and service providers. Your work directly enables GE Vernova's global operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of moderate to highly complex immigration cases — from initial consultation and eligibility assessment through visa, work permit, and residence permit completion — ensuring legal compliance and processing efficiency at every stage
  • Serve as the primary liaison between employees, HR and business stakeholders, outside immigration counsel, and service providers, resolving issues proactively and escalating where appropriate
  • Contribute to and influence the immigration strategy for your region or segment by identifying process improvement opportunities and proposing new initiatives based on operational experience
  • Guide and support junior immigration team members, including developing training materials and serving as a day-to-day resource for questions and complex case handling
  • Manage relationships with immigration vendors and service providers — tracking performance, reviewing costs, and ensuring alignment with company needs and business objectives
  • Maintain accurate data across immigration systems, tracking visa and permit progress in line with department guidelines and ensuring data integrity throughout

About You

You bring deep, hands-on immigration expertise and thrive in a role where precision, proactivity, and people skills are equally important. You're comfortable navigating complexity, working across cultures, and managing multiple priorities without close supervision.

Required

  • Significant experience in immigration case management, including high-complexity casework across multiple visa and permit types
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage end-to-end immigration processes, including legal documentation and compliance
  • Strong communication skills — verbal and written — with the ability to advise and influence stakeholders at multiple levels
  • Proficiency in English

Preferred

  • Experience managing immigration vendor or counsel relationships
  • Familiarity with immigration case management systems and data tracking tools
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members in a professional setting

A formal education and subsequent Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant subject is nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
